It’s party time for Colors!!!
Not only the channel steps into its eighth year, but also two shows of the channel Balika Vadhu (Sphereorigins) and Shastri Sisters (Shakuntalam Telefilms) will ring in celebrations.
Reason?
Yes, Balika completes a run of seven glorious years and Shastri a year of airtime tonight (21 July).
The longest running daily on Indian television Balika has been running successfully from the time of the inception of the channel.
When we spoke to Toral Rasputra, popularly known as Anandi of Balika Vadhu, she commented, “I have been a part of this show for two and a half years and fortunately enough we are the longest running drama on television breaking others’ record. And this has only been possible because of our team work and I am blessed to be a part of it.”
Aasiya Kazi (Ganga), who is comparatively a new member of the Balika Vadhu family, echoed similar thoughts to that of Toral. Aasiya said, “Since I am not even a year older in the show, this feeling is new to me. But, definitely working with such a great team always feels good.”
On the other hand, Shastri Sisters, which is a year old now, though being pulled off air, did entertain the audience with loads of drama.
We buzzed Ishita Ganguly (Anushka) for a comment and the lady shared, “Definitely we are a bit sad, as Shastri Sisters is coming to an end, but this one year has been superb for me.
This is my first show as a lead and the love that I have received from all is immense. We are currently busy for shooting but will definitely plan for some celebration”.
