Shaitan - A Criminal Mind
Colors’ Shaitan A Criminal Mind (Miditech) has been showcasing some shocking real life crime stories on-screen. However, one of its upcoming episodes will be one big bolt from the blue. As per a reliable source, Shaitan will be airing a story on human trafficking in Madhya Pradesh (MP) next week. But, before shooting for the same, the team actually went to the state to research on it. This is when they came across certain facts that were inhuman. Human trafficking is a big issue in MP where girls, who are hardly between the age of 14 and 15, are brought on the highways of MP and are later sold to truck drivers who rape them multiple times on their journey and throw them on the way later. A few good looking girls are kept in the brothels where they are forced into the business of prostitution. Worst is that, these little girls are injected with certain drugs to make their body parts mature faster. When we contacted host Sharad Kelkar, he said, “Yes, the team always does a thorough research on the stories to be telecast.” So do such incidents shock you? “Yes, they do, especially when you are linked with them in a way. As an anchor, when I narrate these stories, they stay with me. So, it’s not just like reading news in the papers; it does leave an impact.” “We recently did a story on fake net profiles and you won’t believe it, but my family and a few of my friends almost spent our night discussing about similar incidents. I think the show majorly will help people to be aware of such things,” he further adds. We agree with you, Sharad!!!
