Comedy is the most difficult genre to perform: Shilpa Shinde

Shilpa Shinde

After performing in comedy shows like Lapataganj and Chidiya Ghar, actress Shilpa Shinde is all set with her new comedy show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai (Edit II) in the soon to be launched channel &TV.

When we spoke to the actress about performing in comedy shows, she said, “It is very easy to make one cry. As we are dealing with so many difficult situations in real life, people can get easily emotional and it is very easy to bring tears on their eyes.”

“On the other hand, it is very difficult to make one happy and smile. Hence, I believe comedy is the most difficult genre to perform and if I can do that successfully then I will be personally very satisfied,” added Shilpa.

When we quizzed the actress about the theme of the show, which seemed very similar with the popular 90s’ sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati, Shilpa quickly replied, “One might find the basic theme similar as both the shows are about two couples, one being traditional and the other being modern. But, my show is very different from popular the sitcom of 90s’.”

Shedding more light on her character, Shilpa mentioned, “I am playing the role of a typical traditional housewife, who is a bit shy and simple. Even if someone compliments her she does not know how to respond to that situation.”

Talking more about the show Shilpa said, “It is a different concept and comedy is always about providing fun to others. Hopefully we will be able to spread laughter to everyone.”

Even we wish the same, lady.
