As "C.I.D." enters a new and revamped phase hinging on the 'race against time' format, actor Dayanand Shetty, better known as Daya from the TV show, says the audience should brace for some “high degree action” woven in an “unpredictable” storyline.

'C.I.D' is the longest running and one of the most loved shows. Daya has become my identity. The show has now entered the 19th year with the revamped look which surely will be a delight to the existing set of viewers and also attract newer set of audiences as they will now witness us under a 24-hour threat where at stake is not only 'C.I.D.' officers reputation but also their lives.

“This new phase will be fresh, surprising and unpredictable with a high degree of action thriller which surely will enable us to further connect with our audiences,” Dayanand said in a statement.

The investigative TV series, which has entered its 19th year, has come with a fresh and new look wherein the police officers - ACP Pradyuman (played by Shivaji Satam), Abhijeet (played by Aditya Srivastava) and Daya (played by Dayanand), will be solving cases under a 24-hour threat or will have to solve the case in a given time bracket.

Keeping in sync with the makeover, the caption has also got a twist - 'Karo Ya Maro'. Additionally, the police officers are seen in a new and refreshed avatar in the show, which airs on Sony Entertainment Television.

Producer B.P.Singh, who supports the show under his banner Firework Productions, is also excited over the revamp.

He said: “The trio will now have to unravel the cases in 24 hours as at stake is not only their reputation but also their lives. This new phase will not only be relatable and fresh, but also surprising and unpredictable with a high degree of action thriller and will only enable us to further connect with our audience.”
