Ekta Kaul bags the lead role in Sphere Origin's next for Star Plus

Ekta Kaul

Ekta Kaul, popularly known as Sahiba in her debut project on TV, Rab Se Sohna Ishq has bagged a challenging lead role in a Star Plus show!!

The girl from Jammu and Kashmir who found her roots in acting with the above-said Zee TV show has done shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi.

Now, she will play the female protagonist in Sphere Origins’ upcoming show for Star Plus, tentatively titled ‘Hum’…

Our readers would remember reading an exclusive article on Tellychakkar.com about Sphere’s Star Plus show depicting the contrasting lifestyles of a middle class family and a rich luxurious family. Already roped in to the show are Ashiesh Roy, Ananya Khare, Charu Asopa and Neeraj Malviya.

The news coming in is that Ekta Kaul has apparently signed on the dotted lines, to play the lead.

A reliable source states, “She will play a positive, independent and strong-mannered girl from UP who will get married to a not so qualified guy.”

We tried contacting Ekta, but she remained unavailable for comments.

Our efforts to reach Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa were in vain. We also could not get a comment from the channel spokesperson.

As reported by us, this show will be a one hour daily on Star Plus and will open up a new band of afternoon programming on the channel.
