The move from TV to films is quite common, but having someone from Hollywood in our shows is definitely a positive change. Before you start imagining Brad Pitt in your saas-bahus sagas, let us introduce you to the very good looking and talented Ankit Bhardwaj who is currently seen playing the negative character of Vachan in Zee TV’s Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke (Shakuntalam Productions).
The actor, who has been part of the Hollywood film, Desires of the Heart, talks exclusively to Tellychakkar.com about his projects and future plans.
“It is a very interesting film about reincarnation where my character Gopal will die after an accident. Val Lauren will play the role of my character who gets reborn, and how he comes back to his town Bikaner after getting flashes of his past lives in his dreams will form the crux of the story. The manner in which his wife deals with his death and how all the secrets get revealed will be really interesting to see,” informs Ankit.
He further adds, “The film also has Gulshan Grover playing an important role. The film also won the Best Foreign film in LA Femme International Film Festival recently.”
With a great start in Hollywood, how come the actor moved to TV? To this, Ankit very calmly explains, “For an actor no medium is small, and TV today has grown into a magnificent medium. Sapne Suhane is really popular and getting to play such an interesting character was really tempting.”
Speaking of his role the young lad avers, “Vachan is a guy who has been close to Shalini Pandey (Divya Jagdale) for 10 years and now with Gunjan (Roopal Tyagi) coming close to her, he is getting insecure of losing his position in the party. He will thus get down torturing Gunjan and keeping her away from joining the party. This cameo is out and out negative and I am really enjoying playing it.”
The actor now aims to do more such interesting roles in future and also has a film lined up next. “My next film is about the untouchability system in our country and how it eats up the entire society slowly. The film will definitely bring a great change in our country.”
And what kind of roles would you like to do in future, we quizzed him. “I am open to all kinds of roles; it will all depend on the character and the script. Every actor desires to do performance oriented roles and I am no different,” he smiles.
Good luck…Ankit!!!
