MUMBAI: There are very few personalities who strike a perfect balance between two professions, and one of them is the very talented actor and singer Amit Tandon.

Amit, who started his career as a finalist in Indian Idol and is known for his stint in shows like Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai, Dill Mill Gayye, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is currently focusing on his singing career.

In a chat with TellyChakkar, Amit shared, 'I have been part of the industry for a long time now and have done some good work on television. By God’s grace I have got good opportunity in my both the profession. However, I am focusing on my music career and coming up with something exciting very soon. However, I will never leave TV. If something meaty comes my way, I will surely consider it.

What's keeping you busy these days? “I'm working in a music video and releasing this new album. I want to get into digital space so I'm looking forward to finding a good role and do it. Business work is also going great, my wife and I have opened another clinic as well.”

You and your wife have given a second chance to your marriage, so how hard you both have tried to make this marriage happen? “Relationship is very difficult and it's always a work in progress. A lot of couples don't get the opportunity of a second chance, but fate brought us together again. All couples have issues which you're aware/unaware of, it's just about how hard you try to overcome those problems.

Since Ruby is getting back to the work that she loves, how has it been for Ruby? “There's nobody like Ruby and I think she's a rockstar. This year she's going to grow exponentially because of her goodwill and generosity towards other people. She is the biggest pillar of strength in my life. She had to deal with many things mentally, but she overcame everything and came out even stronger. Her mental health is much more powerful than mine.

You went through a tough phase how did you cope up with so many challenges? “Career wise, I was being in my comfort zone that my family is quite stable due to Ruby and other businesses that I'm into. Sometimes it's difficult, but I have faith in self-belief. After Indian idol, I got recognition after a very long time. Life has its own way of working so going with the flow is all we can do. I'm planning to pick up a project in the US along with my music album.”
