MUMBAI: Spin-offs are the new trend in telly town.

After Ishqbaaaz and Kumkum Bhagya’s spin-offs, titled Dil Boley Oberoi and Kundali Bhagya respectively, ace producer Rajan Shahi is set to charm TV audiences with the spin-off of iconic show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Yesterday, the channel made the announcement of the show by launching the first promo of Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.

The promo features the beautiful Rhea Sharma of Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji fame in a very different look. The actress will be seen playing the grown-up character of Mishti, donning the nerdy look. Take a look!

Post the launch of the first promo, fans are looking forward to watching TV hunk Shaheer Sheikh.

From playing chocolate boy Anant in Navya and Arjun in Mahabharat to the smart and suave Dev in Kuch Rang and the iconic character of Salim in Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, Shaheer has played a variety of roles.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has given hit jodis in the form of Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi).

The expectations are too high, and only time will tell if Shaheer and Rhea will make a hit pair and make space in viewers' hearts.

TellyChakkar wishes the entire team good luck on their new beginning!
