A known name in the theatre circuit, Pallavi Pradhan is currently winning accolades for her performance as Surili Kant in Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant on Life OK.
Not known to many, Pallavi has earlier done a comedy series Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, before wooing us as Rajni’s (Ridhima Pandit) mother-in-law.
Essaying the character of a sophisticated Bong mother-in-law, Pallavi herself is an elegant lady, who has a sound knowledge of acting and comedy. The stunner performer whole heartedly believes that it is much difficult to enact in a comedy role as compared to tragedy.
When asked her about whether the comedy stars get type-casted or not, the lady with a smile replied, “I think being typecast depends entirely upon the actor and not much on the makers. If an actor decides not to perform in similar kinds of roles, then no one actually force them to do so.”
On screen Pallavi is seen delivering dialogues with a heavy Bengali accent. Ask her the secret of that accent, Pallavi quips, “I have seen films like Piku and Vicky Donor and have tried to pick up the accent. I didn’t want anyone to complain about the not being convincing enough.”
Well lady for sure, you are doing a great job.
Finally, as we quizzed her about her co-stars, Pallavi was all praises about everyone. “I am pretty close to everyone, especially to Sweetly (Walia) as we share our room. Apart from her I completely adore my on-screen son (Karan V Grover). He is such a nice boy that I wish to have a son like him. I keep on asking his mother how she raised such a noble child.”
We completely understand your affection Pallavi. We hope you have a good time with your co-stars.
