TV actor Anuj Saxena, whose anticipatory bail was denied in the ongoing Graft Case, has been asked to surrender before CBI within two days, a report in a daily stated.
Saxena, the Chief Operating Officer of Elder Pharmaceuticals, had contented that if arrested by CBI, he would meet the same fate as B K Bansal, who allegedly committed suicide apparently over CBI's 'torture,' a leading daily has added. Bansal was the Director General in the Corporate Affairs Ministry.
According to the site, in his bail plea, Anuj had said, "If I (Saxena) am in custody, my condition will be same as of Bansal. Please grant me protection from arrest. I will cooperate in the investigation."
The daily added that the court replied to him, "There are other persons also in custody in this case. Has everyone committed suicide? Everyone's case differ from person to person. CBI will take care of this."
The daily stated that according to the CBI, the actor had allegedly played a direct role in bribing Bansal so that there's no SFIO inspection against the actor's company.
