MUMBAI: Abhishek Verma made his acting debut in 2015 with Badi Dooor Se Aaye Hain, where he played a cameo. The actor gained immense popularity with his stint in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and has later featured in shows like Aap Ki Nazron Ne Samjha and Pavitra Bhagya. He is currently playing the parallel lead in Colors’ Naagin 6.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor who spoke briefly about doing back-to-back shows, his journey, personal life, and more.

How do you feel about getting back-to-back shows while being so young? “I'm very thankful for working continuously and during the lockdown. Many people lost their jobs, but I am grateful that I was working for myself. I consider myself lucky for that.”

Does your family live with you in Mumbai? And how has your journey been until now? “My family includes my brother, sister, and my mother. My sister got married, so my brother and I stay in Mumbai while my mother stays in Panipat. I came to Mumbai and started my struggle. Eventually I started getting roles. I strive to do more and enjoy every single process that I'm going through. I think my father's blessings are with me and he's watching over me for getting successful.”

How much do you enjoy being in the television space and what have you gained from it? “Television has given me a lot of work. I'm not a materialistic person, I just believe working hard is more important than fancy things. I'm very blessed to be a part of the television space. I think any work is work. The platform doesn't matter to me. Because at the end of the day, it's the same thing, so if I get another opportunity, I'll go for it.”

What's your relationship status? And do you want to be in a relationship? “Yes, I'm a lovable person, and I would fall in love eventually. As of now, I'm single.”
