I want to meet Krishan bhagwan for real: Nikhil Ratnaparkhi

Nikhil Ratnaparkhi

You must be enjoying watching the talented actor Nikhil Ratnaparkhi on SAB TV’s Krishan Kanhaiya, where he plays the role of Kanhaiya, who keeps asking questions to God on problems that he faces in daily life.

And guess what? The God has finally come down to answer all his queries in a very different way.

Talking about the show and his character, Nikhil says, “My character of Kanhaiya is of a middle class man who has a small tea shop which doesn’t work that well. His daughter wishes to become an engineer for which he has to pay Rs 50,000 to the college. With no option left, Kanhaiya steals money from a temple and then Krishan bhagwan comes down to help him.”

The show is compared to the Bollywood film OMG, do you agree? “Not at all. In OMG they were fighting for one particular issue while in our show Krishan bhagwan tries to solve problems of the common people.”

Are you religious in real life? “Yes, but not to that extent. I pray to God but don’t visit the temple every day.”

What if you meet God Krishna in person? “Firstly, I will pinch myself to know if it’s true. After being part of this project, I wish to meet Krishna bhagwan in real. I would ask him to bless my life with peace and security. And I would also ask him to make the world a better place to live in.”

What is USP of this drama? “Such kind of shows connect with the masses very well. After all, all of us face these problems in daily life.”

How is it working with Ashwini Dheer (producer)? “Ashwini sir is brilliant. He is an amazing writer who keeps coming up with unique concepts.”

All the best Nikhil!
