‘If he is pointing at me, then he is insulting the entire fraternity’: Krrip lambasts; ‘Who is he’, Mohammad retorts

Krip & Mohammad

MUMBAI: Krrip Suri and Mohammad Nazim have been creating a buzz in the media since some time now. It all began when Krrip was asked by Guroudev Bhalla Productions to not report to the sets of Udaan just as he was reaching the location. Mohammad Nazim had replaced him.

Early today, Krrip reacted to Mohammad’s interview in a daily, where he was quoted saying that Krrip’s comments were uncalled for.

Reading the article, Krrip showed his anger on social media. The actor, who is known for his calm personality and has never indulged in an infamy brawl, made his discomfort public with his post.

TellyChakkar had an exclusive conversation with the Jeet Gayi Toh Piya More actor after his social media outburst: ‘I don’t want to get into that controversy. I’m not a person who gets into all this. That was not a good statement from somebody who himself is an actor. If you read my article or posts, I said only good things about that guy. I said I’m happy that he has got work and he is earning money, with regards to the fact that he was on a big break post-Saathiya. He is writing stupid things about me and pointing fingers stating that one can’t question the production house. (But) I didn’t point to anyone in my article.’

He also puts forward his views about his replacement: ‘We are actors, and if something like this happens, we will get hurt. If that guy is pointing at me, then he is insulting the entire actors’ fraternity. He has no right to say anything about me. That is the reason I came out. This is something very wrong. How can you talk rubbish about any other actor? Did I say anything wrong against you? I came out open about my emotions. If the same thing happens with someone else, for instance, someone is fired on their first day of the job, how will you feel? If I raised my voice, what’s wrong. Just to get some limelight, he hired a PR and paid some money, and then got the articles done. He had to involve my name because he didn’t have any other story. I think it is very clear. Also, if he had to reply to my statement, then why didn’t he reply to me then? Why 10 days later? Simple, because he hired a PR and got the articles. How fake and stupid it is, I can’t understand. You can’t insult any individual or the fraternity. I got upset and that’s why I posted. I don’t need to hire PR. I don’t want to involve people’s name and get stories for myself. I don’t want such limelight. I don’t want to speak to somebody like him.’

The actor took it personally since his integrity was questioned. ‘This is my profession. I’m not a bouncer or a gym trainer who got lucky. I have struggled for 14 years. This is my passion to make my name. I respect this fraternity.’

Krrip is in no mood to reconcile with Mohammad. ‘I don’t want to sort out. I have no grudges for anybody not even for him. However, you don’t feel like talking to people with a different IQ. I know my IQ and how dignified I am,’ he concluded.

To understand the other side of the story, we dialed Mohammad Nazim as well, who is currently shooting for the Colors’ show. His character would soon be entering the series. When we explained the situation, Mohammad retorted, ‘Who reads all of this? Who is he?’

On hearing about the PR accusation, the actor said, ‘If someone does PR, they have to pay. No one does a job for free. Even Salman Khan pays! What question is this? And who is Krrip?’

When we pointed out that Krrip is the actor he replaced, he quickly reverted, ‘It’s not my father’s channel that I replaced him. I don’t want to waste my energy. I haven’t even met him. Where did I say anything against him?’

On reminding him about the article in the daily, where he spoke against Krrip, Mohammad said, ‘Ask the people who published the article. Koi kuch bhi bole (Anyone can say anything). What can I do.’
