TellyChakkar was the first one to break the news about Jay Mehta Productions rolling out a new show titled ‘India Wali Maa’ for Sony Entertainment Television. We also reported about Piyaa Albela fame Akshay Mhatre being roped in to play the male lead in the project.

The show is mostly a finite series with a unique storyline. Apparently, the show is inspired from the Bollywood film English Vinglish where Akshay’s mother (played by Suchitra Trivedi) will be determined to learn English.

It was only yesterday that we reported about Splitsvilla 12 winner Shrey Mittal has bagged the show as the parallel lead.

Well, now we hear that Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki actor Abhinandan Jindal has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the show.

India Wali Maa will also feature actors namely Sunil Singh, Shubhanshi Raghuwanshi and Vandana Lalwani playing pivotal roles.
