The good looking Kunwar Amar whose swift dance moves has made him the king of hearts was in for a surprise when he was awarded by ‘Gourav of Punjab’ at a special event by Mumbai Police on 10 April.
Talking to Tellychakkar.com, the young lad sounded surprised and yet humbled as he spoke about the honour. “It is an outstanding feeling and very encouraging. I am feeling really great having being loved by my fans all along and now this coming my way.”
How did it all come about, we asked? “The interesting part is that it came all of a sudden; it was completely unexpected. When I got the call from the Punjab Association, about them giving me this honour, I was pleasantly surprised but the first question that struck me was that I had no connection with Punjab whatsoever,” he shared.
Going on, he added, “That’s when they told me that they have followed my career graph and seen how I have made a mark in my career all by myself coming from a not that well background, they felt they should award me for the same. I was taken aback but really proud that I could achieve so much love and appreciation in this short span.”
When asked how he felt going up the stage to receive the award, Kunwar stated, “You won’t believe when I entered the event hall, I was feeling odd seeing all big names present there. I did not know whether I really deserve to be there. The IG of Mumbai Police, owner of HDIL, head of school associations and a lot many people were at the same place with me. It was really a heartwarming moment.”
“And what made it all the more special was my elder sister’s presence at that time. Luckily for me she was present in Mumbai and could attend the event with me. She has been a constant support to me all along and it was a special moment for me to see her feeling proud as I collected my trophy. I wish my dad could also be here, but nevertheless it was a happy moment for all of us,” said Kunwar.
So now that he is the ‘pride’ of Punjab, does he plan to visit the state? “Of course, it’s such a beautiful place and I would love to spend a lot of time there,” he concluded with a smile.
Way to go Kunwar!!!
