As reported earlier, Jayshree Soni has taken a step into the comedy genre by choosing to play a romantic comedy role in SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar (Garima Productions) in which she plays a Bengali girl named Macchli.
The track kicked off yesterday by introducing new neighbours to Chidiya Ghar in the form of Macchli, her mother and brother.
The story, starting today, will introduce Jayshree in a Bengali avatar sporting modern clothes such as jeans, skirts and a smart high pony who will eventually become Kappi’s (Saaransh Verma) love interest. The latter will try to woo Macchli using different antics while her over-protective brother will pose as an obstacle to Kappi’s intentions.
So will this story have a usual end like all the track stories with a moral?
The answer is no!!!
The story will unfold such that both of them (Macchli and Kappi) will get along well with each other and become very good friends. The blossoming friendship between the two will eventually develop into a liking for each other and will lead to a love affair.
And post the entire drama and rib-tickling comedy where Macchli’s brother will interfere in every situation planned by Kappi, Chidiya Ghar will have another addition to its family.
Macchli will finally get married to Kappi and be known as the third daughter-in-law of Chidiya Ghar.
When we contacted Jayshree, she said joyously, “This is the first time I am doing a comedy and am thoroughly enjoying it. Playing a Bengali is a little difficult as I have to not only adopt their dialect but also their style of talking. Additionally I have to make a face that imitates a fish as I play Macchli. But I am sure l will adapt to it very soon. I am having a ball of a time shooting for Chidiya Ghar.”
Keep tuned in for more updates!!!
