The very talented screenplay and dialogue writer Sharad Chandra Tripathi has now turned a lyricist after making his debut in poetry reciting, on SAB TV’s Waah Waah Kya Baat Hai. The writer was seen as the aam aadmi (common man) on the show on 10 February 2013, where he managed to win everyone’s heart with his enchanting poetry. Now the writer has also turned a lyricist with Beyond Dreams’ Junoon and Ek Veer Ki Ardaas - Veera. We contacted Sharad to know more about him adding a new leaf to his illustrious career and he said, “It’s not like I am starting to write poems and lyrics now. I used to write them earlier, but nobody explored this talent of mine beyond a level. All thanks to Mamta Patnaik (Creative Director at Beyond Dreams), as she showed faith in me and asked me to pen down lyrics for her show Junoon initially. When it turned out to be good, she handed me the responsibility of writing scores for Veera too.” The Veera lyrics are on the theme of Basant Panchami which that will be explored in the upcoming episodes of the serial. If sources are to be believed Veera (Harshita Ojha) and Ranvijay (Bhavesh Balchandani) will be seen celebrating the festival by flying kites. Thank you Sharad for giving us meaningful and apt songs.
