Bharat Ka Veer Putra…Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Pictures) on Sony Entertainment Television has been serving us with tales of history on our TV screens.  And now a mythological angle will also be seen with Tulsi Das (Shailesh Datar) narrating Ramayan’s life story to Pratap (Ssharad Malhotra).

And enacting the Ramayan tale will be talented and good looking actors Manoj Malhotra and Jagjit Athwal. Manoj (Big Magic’s Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga) will play Ram and Jagjit Athwal (CID, finalist in Bachelorette India with Malika Sherawat) will be seen essaying the role of Hanuman. Also newcomer Atul Verma has been roped in to play Laxman.

Shares a source, “The upcoming episodes will show how Tulsi Das will impart the teachings of Lord Ram to Pratap and share how he dealt with difficult situations.”

We spoke to Manoj who confirmed the news and said, “It’s great pleasure to enact the role. I have done various Telugu and Kannada films and getting back on TV with this interesting character is a delight.”

Jagjit on his part added, “It is an amazing feeling to play Hanuman onscreen. Every time I don the avatar of Hanuman, I feel so positive. This role has surely come as a blessing for me.”

The sequence will soon air in Maharana Pratap.
