Ankit Arora, Priya Shinde and Ram Mehar Jangra
Yesterday, Tellychakkar.com reported about the introduction of a new family in Village Boy Productions’ Ek Ghar Banaunga on Star Plus. We had written about noted actress Bharti Patil essaying the mother, while Itishree Singh has been roped in to play the bahu. We now hear that Mukesh Nathani has been signed to play the father Ravikant Garg, who would happen to be the elder brother of Shashikant (Hemant Chaudhary). Vimla, his wife essayed by Bharti will be the elder sister of Mangala (Neelima Parandekar). Sources also inform us that Ankit Arora, who has been seen in shows like Ramayan and Phir Subah Hogi, and Priya Shinde will play son and daughter to Bharti. Ram Mehar Jangra who has shown his talent in shows like Dil Se Di Dua…Saubhagyavati Bhava and Tere Mere Sapne will be the son-in-law of the house, and will be married to Priya’s character. Ankit Arora will essay the husband of Itishree on the show. “My character will be called Abhishek. I am happy to be a part of the project,” said Ankit. As per the track, the entire Garg family has reconciled after the crisis of Jay’s extra-marital affair. They are happy once again, and this will be when Ravikant and his family will pay them a surprise visit. Ravikant and his wife will be extremely positive characters, and so will be the son. The daughter and bahu will have negative streaks, and will be astonished to see the wealth in the Garg family. They will start playing dirty games, and will eventually want to get a share of the property. Commenting on being roped in for the show, Bharti Singh said, “I play a mother in the show and my character is very positive. I am making a comeback on television after 5 months as I was doing 2 Marathi films. Now that I have completed those I wanted to essay a positive character as after doing shows like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha where I essayed a negative role, I was offered similar roles. The production house is very good and I snapped at this opportunity.” We tried contacting Producer Raakesh Paswan and the other cast of the show but they remained unavailable for comment.
