After almost a month long legal battle, it seems like the Pratyusha Banerjee suicide case will finally see a closure.
The Bombay High Court in today’s hearing has reportedly given relief to Rahul Raj Singh from arrest.
After Pratyusha committed suicide on 1 April at her residence, her family accused Rahul for her suicide. Few days later, a police complaint was registered at Bangur Nagar Police station by Pratyusha’s parents against Rahul under IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504, 506 (criminal intimidation), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
As per the media reports, during today’s (25 April) session, Justice Bhatkar of Bombay High Court decided to hear the recording of the last phone call between Rahul and Pratyusha. The public prosecutor even claimed that the phone conversation clearly hints at Pratyusha death mystery at suicide.
Recently another update came in force when the forensic chemical analysis stated that the late actress was drunk when she committed suicide.
With such proofs surfacing, the court has passed an interim bail for Rahul. The actor-producer although free from the clutches of law will have to report to the police station for regular investigation process whenever needed.
