MUMBAI: TellyChakkar was the first to exclusively report about producer Prateek Sharma helming the second season of TV’s most celebrated show Beyhadh under his banner LSD Films (Read here: Prateek Sharma to produce Beyhadh’s season 2 for Sony TV).

Jennifer Winget, who played the role of Maya in Beyhadh, received immense appreciation for her performance. The actress justified the character so well that it is hard for us to imagine anyone else as Maya.

Reports stated that Jennifer was the only actress who was in talks to be retained in season 2. It was also mentioned that the makers have approached Viraf Patel to play the leading man on the show. Viraf was earlier seen in Star Plus' popular show Naamkaran.

As per the latest update, our sources inform us that the makers are having monetary negotiations with Jennifer. If things do not work out, they might consider having another popular face to play the titular role.  

Our sources also tell us that Naagin 3 fame Surbhi Jyoti might be considered, given her popularity and deft acting.

We tried reaching out to Surbhi and producer Prateek, but they remained unavailable for comment.
