Nandish Sandhu who was in the news for his high-profile split from Rashmi Desai, he’s back in the news for a totally different reason this time. It’s even more shocking. His former driver Kafil Ahmed Shaikh, who was accused of theft, has shot back at his ex-employer to a leading site.
According to the site, the driver has said that he was accused of theft because Nandish thought the driver was passing sensitive information regarding him to his ex-wife Rashmi. The actor, who separated from his wife in December 2015, was allegedly seeing a ‘Miss India’, the driver has spilled to the site.
Sandhu lodged a complaint with the Bangur Nagar police station earlier this year accusing the driver was stealing Rs 4.25 lakh from the actor’s house, the site added. The driver, who had left for his native place on sick leave, was asked to present himself at the police station and was immediately arrested, the driver has told the site. “I was in shock. I had been on duty for the two intervening months, but Singh did not even tell me he had filed a case against me. I could not believe it. I was framed. I called Singh to confront him about it, but he gave me no answer. I then called up Rashami ma’am, who told me that she would help me. But, I did not know what was going on,” Shaikh said.
He added further to the site, “I knew about the two (Sandhu and his alleged girlfriend) since I used to pick up and drop them both almost every day. Singh might have assumed that I was spying on him at the behest of Rashami ma’am and would pass on information about this relationship, and that’s why he falsely implicated me in the case.”
Since the charge against the driver couldn’t be corroborated, an official close to the Bangur Nagar police station has said, “We checked his bank accounts, sent teams to his native place and traced his money trail. Prima facie, we found no evidence. We plan to approach the court to file a B summary to quash this case.”
The site got in touch with Sandhu as well, who said, “I don’t have time to respond to such an allegation. I will face it when it reaches me.”
