No weighty woes for Eijaz Khan

Eijaz Khan

Eijaz Khan who made his television debut almost a decade ago only looks better and gets fitter by the day. The actor is also apparently a fitness freak. The actor fits in any body type with such ease.

In today's times, actors go to lenghts to put on or shred kilos to get into the skin of characters and here we have our television's favorite Eijaz Khan doing that with ease. The actor with his television comeback this year with Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai has surprised the audiences with his lean look after playing the healthy sardar in Tanu Weds Manu returns that released last year.

It is a no brainer that the actor has mastered the knack of going on and off weight, he shares, 'I was a professional dancer most of my life and because of that I'm blessed with high metabolic rate, I don't tend to put on muscle of fat easily but now my fitness regime mainly consists or is dictated by the roles that I play. For instance, last year in the beginning I put on almost 8-10 Kgs of muscle/ fat because I had to look like a Khata-peeta ghar ka Sardar in Tanu Weds Manu returns. I was really fat then and I had to rip it all off as I was playing a riot victim in the next project that I was doing which is called Shorgul. I removed carbs and sugar from my diet completely, then in two months I had to put on massive muscle as I was playing Raavan's son Indrajit in film called Pampapur Ki Ramleela. Now that I'm back in television, I realized you cannot look so buffed up, it would look harsh and aggressive so I had to lose all that weight and become softer and which I just did.'

Eijaz spills the beans on his diet,' Lately I have discovered the caveman diet and bit of ketosis diet that means your body is eating up its own fat. You starve your body of carbs and sugar and give it a lot of fat and protein, so I don't want to break down my diet but it consists of a lot of non-vegetarian food, eggs, protein shakes and big bowls of salad every now and then and lots of cheese, ghee, butter but I don't eat roti, dal, chawal, when I want to have something sweet, I have little bit of honey, Only thing I can indugle as candy, I feel its fruits. In the morning my diet consists of heavy breakfast, lunch would be big bowl of salad and chicken and in the evening I have two slices of cheese, some nuts, protein shake or fruit and some other kind of protein and in the night it is mainly paneer so throughout the night your body is nourished.'

We're pretty enviable when he can eat this much and be this fit.
