This time the prize money has been brought back to Rs. 7 Crores from 7.5 crores.
The show has returned with a new season and it has gotten a positive response from the audiences and is doing well in the TRP ratings.
There are some side effects to the popularity as well, given today’s technology it is not hard to fabricate or edit a video or audio to someone's liking.
Turns out the show Kaun Banga Crorepati was recently the victim of one such video, There was a video going around of Amitabh Bachchan with a fake voiceover, and turns out the contents of the video were false. After, a much heated argument of social media, Sony TV’s official social media handles have not notified the audiences that they are pursuing the matter with cyber cell and the matter is very serious.

The popularity of Big B and his likeness is known everywhere but turns out this random video has landed many in hot water, especially some political parties and now that Sony has come out with an official statement, we assume that the matter has been resolved.
