Playing Sita on TV was prestigious: Madirakshi Mundle

Madirakshi speaks about her experience playing Sita on Siya Ke Ram

Demure and soft spoken, Madirakshi Mundle is the new buzzing talent in the small screen space. Her acting debut with Star Plus’ Siya Ke Ram has received much appreciation from the masses.

The actress has carved an image of a sweet, simple and caring lady through her on screen avatar Siya. She was certainly convincing in the role of the mighty lady and recently stated that playing the character was real challenge for her.

We caught up with the actress to know more about her experience as Siya.

Talking about her journey in Siya Ke Ram, she shared, “I feel playing Sita on television was prestigious. The character had man shades. I portrayed a Goddess, who had nine avatars and I enjoyed playing each one of them. I had a wonderful experience playing Bhadrakali on-screen (from the nine avatars) as I had to kill Raavan and we both were on harness fighting with each other. It was an amazing sequence.”

“I am taking a break post Siya Ke Ram as it will take some time to be out of Siya’s zone. After portraying any character on screen, an actor behaves like it. I will also take time but I promise I will come back with something good,” Madirakshi added.

When asked who she gives the credit of her success to, she said “I want to thank Sohanna Sinha (co-producer of Triangle Films) as she saw Siya in me. She was hundred percent sure about me. And of course, my family was the biggest support; without them it wouldn’t have been possible. I thank fans and industry for welcoming me with open arms. I admire the love and respect which I received from them.”

Apart from an actor, Madirakshi is a dancer. Talking about her hidden talent, she averred, “I love dancing. I was even approached by Nach Baliye makers but unfortunately I couldn’t do it.  I will love to be part of dance reality shows in future.”

We wish Madirakshi great luck for her future endeavours.
