Playing a warrior gives an adrenaline rush: Siddharth Arora

Siddharth Arora

Looking sexy as a warrior prince, Siddharth Arora is mesmerizing viewers with his charm as Raja Bhoj in Singhasan Battisi (Creative Eye Ltd.) on Sony PAL. Making a foray into the fiction space after a break, the actor seems quite excited about this new project.

“The show is a great combination of fiction, mythology, drama and also action. This is the best an actor can get for himself. I feel mytho shows are in vogue now and any actor would feel great to play a warrior. It gives an adrenaline rush to perform all the action sequences and present the brave side of me,” he shared.

When asked about Singhasan Battisi being the only show which is not completely women-centric, he said, “Of course, women would enjoy having a man all for themselves (laughs). But on a serious note, women enjoy heroes with a larger than life personality. Also a masculine perfect man on TV would be a treat to watch,” answered Siddharth.

The show somehow has a similarity between Hatim (Life OK) where a fantasy based story follows the life and challenges of a warrior. The good looking actor cleared the air, “Our show is not pure fantasy but also has a historical connection, for the characters are all real. Raja Bhoj was a king who was the epitome of perfect combination of brawn and brains. The show will surely stand out for its interesting and exciting storyline.”

When asked what kind of preparations went in for the role, Siddharth informed, “Not much of preparations went for the role as I hardly had time. In just a couple of days post signing the contract I was on the set shooting. But yes, a lot of hard work is going on for the same and I am all set to give everything to make the character and show popular.”

And finally a new channel, a new show, how confident is he about it working? “I am not someone who understands TRPs and thus can’t really comment on that. But for me what matters is that I should be enjoying my role in a good show. Na Bole Tum… was a favourite amongst viewers but it could not garner great numbers. But what mattered was that all of us were having a great time doing the show,” the talented actor concluded.

That’s quite a positive thought, Siddharth!
