The young and dynamic Pooja Banerjee seems to be really working hard towards building her television career. Juggling between pursuing her Masters in English Literature and entertaining the audience with her action packed performance in Life OK’s The Adventures Of Hatim, the charming lady shares her experience shooting for a particular sequence which would mark an end to the first saga of the show.
Pooja claims, “For a sequence in Hatim I had to shoot for a strenuous 11 hours without a break to cover up the leaves I had taken for my examinations for the final year of studies. The scene not only required me to do sword fighting but also a lot of acrobatics and somersaults. It was straining but I was content with the performance I gave.”
While there is always an option of using body doubles, the pretty lady does not believe in the same.
She stated, “I feel, a body double would not be able to deliver the stunt with the same passion as mine. Apart from that, there is also a minute chance of some difference in the physical appearance which will definitely not convince me. I believe in delivering quality performance which not only entertains the viewers and satisfies my director and producer, but also me. “
While shooting for the show, Pooja also suffered a minor injury. While shooting for a scene where a set was supposed to collapse, a real stone ended up falling on her injuring her face. She laughed as she said, “Yes, my face is a little swollen. I am in pain majorly because of tooth ache.”
After the shoot, everyone including the protagonist Rajbeer Singh applauded and appreciated her performance while some were left amazed at the energy she could put in doing the stunts.
