Priyamvada Kant replaces Nisha Nagpal in Star Plus' Veera

Tellychakkar.com recently reported about the mayhem that was created by actress Nisha Nagpal when she unceremoniously moved out of her project on Sahara One, Masakkali to enter Star Plus and Beyond Dreams Entertainment’s show, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera. Now, news coming in from the Veera set is that she has been replaced from the show. Coming in now, is actress Priyamvada Kant who was apparently the first choice to play the role of Simran. Says a source from the set, “Nisha has been replaced after she shot with us for four days. Priyamvada Kant will now play the role of Simran. In fact, Priyamvada was the first choice for the role, but the actress could not take it up earlier owing to film commitments.” When contacted, Priyamvada confirmed the news stating, “Yes, I have started shooting for Veera from yesterday (16 October). I really was not aware of another actress having shot for this role for few days, since I was offered this same role 15 days back. I could not accept the offer then, but I got a call again from the production asking if I can start shoot from the next day. So I am here playing the role of Simran.” Talking about her character, Kant stated, “Simran is a very beautiful girl, who is actually being manipulated by her mother. She feels she is the Simran of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and is on the lookout for her Raj (smiles). She keeps battling her eye lids whenever she meets Baldev; she is a real sweetheart. Moreover, I have never played a Punjabi character before, and I look forward to playing this role well. Also, the production house is very warm and co-operative; it great fun to be working with Vishal (Vashishtha).” Priyamvada’s introduction will be aired in tonight’s episode of Veera. The actress is also presently seen in Sony PAL’s Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi.
