The handsome television actor Puneet Sharma, who has earlier been part of Qubool Hai and Jamai Raja, has been roped in to play an important character of Lakhan in Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani (Sphereorigins).
According to our sources, Puneet’s look is loosely based on Ranvir Singh’s character from Ramleela. He will portray a Casanova who is a hero in his local tavern. He will be enlisted by Kokila (Parull Chaudhry) and CV (Akshay Anand) to impregnate Swarnalekha (Priya Tandon).
Since Lakshya is unable to do the same, Kokila and CV want an heir from Swarnalekha to continue their bloodline and gain control over Amerkot Kingdom.
Shared Puneet, “My character of Lakhan is very confident and outspoken. It resonates a lot with Ranveer Singh in Ram-Leela. My character is quite a Casanova of sorts and will be an arrogant one in the beginning. There will lot of shirtless scenes and I hope audiences enjoy watching it. I am happy to work with Zee TV again.”
Puneet’s entry will air from Monday (2 November).
