Purab Kohli, Natasha Rastogi, Darshan Jariwala, Tena Desae to be part of international series Sense 8

It's not just Anupam Kher who has bagged a plump role in much talked about Netflix show, Sense 8 helmed by Matrix triology creators, Andy and Lana Wachowski, but also a bevy of other talented Indian actors will now be seen in this America sci-fi drama series. And those who have been signed on are Purab Kohli, Natasha Rastogi, Darshan Jariwala, Tena Desae and Mita Vashisht. The Indian leg of the shoot is currently taking place. Anupam had earlier tweeted about his presence in the series. "Looking forward to my first day's shoot of Wachowsky's series SENSE8.:)," Anupam had tweeted. We have learnt through a close hand that Anupam has been paired opposite Natasha, who is playing his wife while Tena plays their daughter. It's not clear yet what roles Purab, Darshan and Mita would be playing in the series. What however stands out is the line-up of brilliant Indian actors who are known for their acting exploits. Sense 8 reportedly is the story of eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked and it will explore the themes of identity, sexuality, gender, bigotry and fear among others. The series will be telecast in May 2015 on Netflix which is an on-demand internet streaming media available to viewers in North and South America. Netflix has subscribers in over 40 countries. Purab confirmed being a part of the series. The others remained unavailable for comment.
