Reality shows have its own rewards and drawbacks: Parag Chadha

MTV Splitsvilla season 3 winner and actor Parag Chadha, who was last seen in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is also one talented casting director. He heads his own company called ‘Bribe With Talent Casting’ and has casted many renowned faces for ongoing shows. In a chat with Tellychakkar.com, Parag shares his future plans and more. Firstly tell us, which of the actors cast by you have made you proud? “I am proud of casting Upasana Singh in Nadaniyaan and Achint Kaur in Jamai Raja. Both the ladies are superbly talented and are doing a great job. I am also kicked about the fact that with the special celebrity appearances in Akbar Birbal and Nadaniyaan, the show is garnering good TRPs.” Coming back to acting, what kind of roles do you wish to play in future? “There is nothing specific. I want to explore my acting talent whether it’s a positive or a negative role. For me the lead role doesn’t matter, only good and challenging roles are what matter.” After winning Splitsvilla season 3, which reality show would you wish to participate in? “I don’t wish to participate in any reality shows. It has its own rewards and drawbacks. I have already won one show and I am happy with it.” What do you enjoy the most, casting or acting? “Both are very close to me. But facing the camera gives me more joy and confidence.” Has there been any time when you thought of packing your bags and going back to your hometown? “Luckily, I haven’t faced such situations in my life. There is no doubt that I have faced lot of struggles and I am still struggling; the journey has not been a cake walk. Each day is a new learning day. I give hundred percent of dedication to my work.” If not acting and casting, what would have been your other option? “I would have joined my dad’s business in Delhi.” When do you plan to settle down? “There is still time. I want to first concentrate on my career. Due to my commitment I have not even taken a break for the past few years. My work is my first priority.” Lastly, where do we see you after five years? “I see my company growing and blooming. I would probably produce films and also get into celebrity management.” All the best Parag!
