Rishina Kandhari and Jignesh Mehta to feature in CID

Actors Rishina Kandhari and Jignesh Mehta will portray patriotic roles this weekend in Sony Entertainment Television’s CID, produced by Fireworks Productions. Rishina will essay the bubbly and confident girl Mehak who would be seen eloping with her best friend Ved (Jignesh Mehta). Initially, they would be shown as a couple, but they would actually be the best of friends who have hit upon a major clue of a bomb blast due to happen on Independence day at the Gateway of India. With the clue in hand, they would together board a train in order to escape from the goons who have got to know of them knowing about the plan. The makers have shot realistic sequences on the train with Rishina and Jignesh. Scenes like both of them running inside the train, fighting with goons inside the train, Rishina almost swinging in the air holding on to the handle of the train door are some of the breath-taking moments that have been shot. The manner in which Ved and Mehak team up with the CID team to stop the bomb blast from happening at the Gateway of India will form the crux of the story. When contacted, Rishina told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I have shot for the two episodes-Independence day special episode for CID. It was a challenging role, as I had to do quite a lot of stunt sequences on the train.
