In the show, they are paired as mother-son, but in real life, they are very good friends.

When we buzzed Rupali to know more about their off-screen bonding, she shared, “The way Tom and Jerry keep pulling each other’s legs, we do the same too. We keep having cute fights. Punit is Tom as he is a little aggressive, while I am Jerry, calm and smart.”
She continued, “We play many pranks on each other too. Since Punit is into fitness, I told him that he had put on weight. He worked out the whole of next day! Sometimes, I fool him by saying that I am upset with him. He is left puzzled and tries to find out the reason. It is a super fun time with him."
