In a bid to make its staff more health conscious and its sets more health friendly, Shashi Sumeet productions – the makers of hit serials like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Tu Mera Hero and Badi Devrani imposed a new rule to discourage it’s cast and crew members from unhealthy habits like chewing tobacco.
Known to be leaders in innovative employee friendly practises like lessening food wastage and installing gym equipment on its sets to encourage it’s cast and crew to lead less wasteful and fitter lives, Shashi Sumeet Productions has now started a new rule that bans harmful substances like all forms of chewable tobacco i.e. gutka, pan masala containing tobacco etc on the sets. Those employees found consuming such products will be fined a sum of Rs 100.
Commenting on this new rule, Sumeet Hukamchand Mittal - Founder, Shashi Sumeet Productions said, “At Shashi Sumeet Productions, we believe that our employees are our extended family and therefore our duty is to encourage them to do the right, safe and healthy thing .We encourage our employees to take up practices like exercising and eating healthy while discourage practices like chewing tobacco”.
