Siddhartha Kannan's `Watch-tale'

Radio Jockey-turned-television anchor Siddhartha Kannan aka Santa of Santa & Banta fame is obsessed with collecting wrist watches from different decades. His collection comprises of 49 watches ranging of different brands. "All the watches belong to 14 different brands. It sounds weird, but I never repeat my watch. The way women match bags and shoes with their clothes, I wear watches that go well with my clothes. That's why I carry a few with me on the sets. I've kept a help man just to take care of my expensive watches while I'm shooting," utters Siddharth.

I've kept a help man just to take care of my expensive watches while I'm shooting," utters Siddharth. We couldn't resist asking him about how it all started. "It began some four years back when my mom gifted me a watch. From then I started collecting various designer watches from around the world. I'm very possessive about all my watches and never allow anyone to touch them as they'll are very dear to me," adds Santa. Interestingly we learnt that he lost one of the watch gifted by his mom along with two other luxurious designer watches. "I was carrying all three of them with me on the sets as I've habit of changing them frequently. They were in my bag in my make-up room. My helpman was there but then he stepped out to meet some of the celebrities and then few hours later I realized that the watches have been stolen. I felt terribly bad but then didn't make an issue out of it as it didn't want the staff to be in trouble," continues Siddharth. Well as its said that everything happens for good so, this humorous guy too learnt his lesson. "After this incident, I've become much careful and responsible towards my accessories. Now, I take better care of them," smiles Siddharth.
