Petite Mahima Makwana, who is currently seen as Rachna Garg in Zee TV’s Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke (Shakuntalam Telefilms) is on cloud nine and enjoying her stardom. It is because the show, in a span of few months, has managed to achieve the No. 1 position on Zee TV giving tough fight to all other TV shows.
In our curiosity, we got in touch with this lovely lass and asked her how she feels to be a part of the show? “It feels great. It was not only my effort that was responsible for the success, but it is our team effort. Zee TV is my favourite channel from my childhood but never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought that I will be part of the No 1 show on the channel. This serial has given me fame and recognition and I feel special when I see my hoardings on streets and also when people come and ask me for autographs,” avers Mahima.
What according to you is the reason of the show’s success? “Well, I think our show is very different from every other on TV. Since it is very realistic, it connects with youth easily. Here, I am playing a very simple and innocent character, while Roopal (Gunjan) is totally the opposite of me. I, for one, think that our sister bonding is loved the most by the masses,” she answers.
On the personal front, what is Mahima all about? “Rachna and I have some qualities in common in real life. I am a very innocent and simple woman, but I am a very creative person also. I love reading books but these days I don’t get time as I have to balance between my show and studies,” she maintains.
If not an actor what you would have been? “Since I love dancing, I would have taken my passion ahead and become a choreographer,” she quips.
Way to go Mahima!!
