Smita Singh, the versatile actress known for her powerful negative portrayals will soon be back on TV.

Well, her newest character, yet again is touted to be the next big antagonist on the small screen...

Smita who got praised for her popular character of Punpunwali in Colors’ Bhagyavidhata has been roped in for Saurabh Tewari and Rajesh Chadha’s upcoming show for Life OK.

As reported by us, Parin Media and IMRC Entertainment are presently working on the show, tentatively titled Bhaukaal. Param Singh of Sadda Haq fame and Disha Parmar, last seen in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara will play the leads. They will be joined by Vikkas Manaktala.

As per sources, “Smita will play the eldest daughter-in-law in the boy’s family. Her character will be loud and completely negative. In simple words, it will be yet another powerful and strong character for Smita to exhibit.”

When contacted, Smita confirmed the news saying, “We are shooting for the pilot now. So it is very early to talk about the show and role.”

We hear that Smita’s look for the show will again be something very different, a never-seen-before avatar for the actress.

As for Smita, her powerful portrayals were in shows Hitler Didi and Looteri Dulhan. The lasy was last seen in Shastri Sisters.
