When Bollywood diva Sonali Bendre entered the fiction space with television Czarina Ekta Kapoor’s show Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh (Balaji Telefilms), everyone expected to witness something refreshing and different.
And it seems that the two ladies have been able to live up to the expectations of the audience, though TRPs are on the lower side.
As per our sources, the decent run of the show has led the channel to decide to extend the project, which was initially supposed to have a run of 120 episodes.
But there is a twist to the tale.
If sources are to be believed then the above good news for the loyal viewers can get shattered as the lead Sonali, as per our source info, is not ready to extend her contract.
Our source further reveals, “The show is a finite series of 120 episodes and we were supposed to be done with the shoot by this time. But, unfortunately that did not happen and Sonali now has to provide some more time to the show.”
“Being a professional she has decided to continue with the shooting until the initial episodes are completed. But the diva has simply refused to renew her contract for any extension period and she has asked to increase her monthly leaves,” added the source.
According to our source Sonali, who earlier use to get four days leave per month has now asked for seven days leave per month.
If the news of extension is true then we would surely love to see the Bollywood diva on screen for some more time.
We dropped messages to Ekta Kapoor, and Sonali Bendre’s spokesperson, but they did not revert till the time of filing this article.
Channel spokesperson too did not open up on the development.
