MUMBAI: Star Plus' show Imlie which hit the small screens last year has been working wonders ever since the beginning.  

The show stars Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani in the lead roles.

Sumbul plays the titular role of Imlie while Gashmeer is seen as Aditya.

We have seen how Imlie is facing a hard time as the Tripathi family is not ready to accept her as the daughter-in-law of the house.

While it will take some time for the family to accept Imlie, the show will constantly witness a lot of drama.

The show consists of a stellar star cast which also includes Jyoti Gauba, Indraneil Sengupta, Arham Abbasi, Chandni Bhagwanani, Mayuri Deshmukh, and Vishwa Gulati, among others.

Well, Vishwa's track was recently introduced on the show and he is seen as Malini's love interest.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Vishwa was asked to reveal any interesting story behind bagging the show.

Vishwa shared, ''I had been auditioning with this production house for the last three years. But I never got a role. I used to put my audition videos on Instagram during the pandemic. One of the creative directors of the show found my profile on Instagram and they contacted me for an audition. They had auditioned me for another show for Dangal and I had sent a very good audition. Unfortunately, I didn't get that show.''

He further said, ''One month later, they offered me this role in Imlie. The makers didn't even audition me and said that they are ready to have me on board. I was extremely happy to bag this show.''

The actor said that the makers knew that he belonged to a theatre background and had seen his previous auditions. Hence, they didn't want him to audition for Kunal's role.

Well, Vishwa is definitely proving himself as a stellar performer.
