Tantra’s genre is a mix of family and supernatural, feels actor Kanan Malhotra

MUMBAI: Actor Kanan Malhotra has been roped in for the supernatural venture of Colors, Tantra.

Kanan says his character of Nirvan is someone who cares for his family and is a positive person. He wishes to get into his father’s business, but somehow, it does not work, which creates differences between the two.

Swastik Productions excels in highlighting shows of different genres. Elements like the importance of family and supernatural happenings are covered under one roof.

At the end, the ratings matter, as they decide the fate of the show. All recent shows seem to be going the Daayan way.

Viewers have appreciated his role of Lord Vishnu in Mahakali - Anth Hi Aarambh Hai. The talented actor managed to get a different role in Tantra.

Kanan also reveals that he desires to try new roles by coming out of his comfort zones and even try negative roles.

He is also open to web series, which allow an actor to be natural on screen. According to him, there is variation in playing characters for the digital space, which is not possible when you work for television.
