Manasvi Vyas, well known as Sona of Phulwa, has been married for five years now but very few people in the industry know about it. Apparently, she had been advised to maintain her ‘single’ status and not blurt out personal details lest she lost out on a good role or it went against her ‘young’ image. But this is what the truth is. Manasvi married her college sweetheart Prerak Vyas in 2006 but her acting career started much before that. Coming from a Gujarati theatre background, she started her career with a Gujarati play. An MBA in Marketing, acting was her passion and hobby. She acted in Gujarati serials till she got a chance to be part of Durgesh Nandini on Sony, where she played Durgesh’s sister but by this time she was already married. After her marriage, she did anchoring for channels and live shows and also participated in the Mrs Gladrags 2008 contest and won the Most Elegant contestant sub-award. Post this, she did a cameo in Miley Jab Hum Tum but this was the time when she talked little about her married life. As she says, “I was a big mouth. I would usually be honest about everything but then people would assume things about me. Hence, when a few of my industry friends explained to me that I shouldn’t talk so openly about my personal life I stopped doing it. As I have seen people doubting one’s capability and commitment once they hear the person is married. But, if they have seen your work and they get to know you’re married, then they do not have any issues. Hence, I prefer keeping my personal life to myself and not blabber things out unnecessarily.” Well, no wonder then not many people know of her marriage to Prerak who his own registered company in the US and the two do not have any kids as yet. When asked if people on the sets of Phulwa know of her marriage she says, “Yes, they do as I don’t hide it if anyone ever questions me about it.”
