MUMBAI: The stunning Mouni Roy gained immense success from her portrayal of Naagin on the small screen. After creating a mark on TV, Mouni is set to fly high with her Bollywood debut project Gold opposite Akshay Kumar.
The film, which released this Independence Day, has been receiving mixed reviews from viewers.

It has become quite common to share film reviews on social media platforms now. TV actor Shardul Pandit, who was last seen in &TV’s Siddhi Vinayak, criticized the film and the actors. Shardul has also acted in Bandini and Kuldeepak and hosting Bollywood Cricket League on MTV.
His Facebook post stated, ‘Gold is a sad attempt at making a testosterone version of Chakde. Just coz it was independence day it doesnt mean you have to make a film with forced patriotism. Editors love rubber. Mouni what a pretty girl why that sad lip job though. Akshay kumar speaks bengali in punjabi. Save your 450 rs give it a miss.’
