MUMBAI: Actor Soniya Kaur’s character of Jasmeet in Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is being adored by the audience. The actor feels blessed to have received so much love from her fans. 'First of all, I want to thank the audience for loving my character. I get so many messages on Instagram for the same, and they say that I look very cute on screen. Some of them even watch the show live and send me screenshots. This love that I am getting from the audience makes me feel really good,' she says.

Talking about her look in the show, she says it’s very different from her in real life. 'Real and reel life are different. I have a very desi look in the show, but in real life, I like to carry a different look. I don't really wear Indian outfits in real life. It’s a rare situation where I do that. If there is some festival or I have to visit a Gurudwara, I wear them. Otherwise, I like to wear Western clothes. My hair is long, but I wanted to cut it and keep fringes, but my character is such that I cannot get a haircut done. So that’s what I had to sacrifice for the show or for my character, but I am happy because people are loving my look,' she says.

Soniya shares a great bond with the rest of the actors on the show as well. 'My bond with Shaheer is really good, as we both are from Jammu, so we have lots of things in common to talk about. We even speak in Dogri language sometimes, which is used in Jammu. We talk about our characters, and I feel he is really a very chilled out guy. We are planning to hang out and party together. With Rhea also, it is great. We went out together for dinner some days ago, so other than shoot also, we meet and enjoy,' she says.

She adds, 'We have a very positive environment on set. We all really love each other, which usually does not happen with actors.'
