MUMBAI : Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt parted ways in 2016 and officially got divorced in 2019. While their fans were of the opinion that things between the ex-lovers were beginning to settle down, here comes the news of their battle over their kids' custody taking a nasty turn. As per US Weekly, the actress has asked for the removal of the judge looking into their custody trial due to his close connection with Brad Pitt’s lawyer.
A source close to the publication was quoted saying, “Brad says Angelina has gone way too far this time...He’s left with no other option but to dig in and fight back—hard.” On this request, Brad Pitt’s lawyer in his response has mentioned that these steps of the actress are making things difficult for their kids- Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox. Brad Pitt’s lawyer issued a statement pertaining to this request of the actress.

The statement read, “The individuals hurt most by Jolie’s transparently tactical gambit are the parties’ own children, who continue to be deprived of a final resolution to these custody issues.”
Reciprocating to this statement of Brad Pitt’s lawyer, Angelina’s lawyer mentioned in their reply that the delay in the custody battle is due to Brad’s team. The actress' lawyer’s reply read, “any delay in these proceedings is due to [Pitt’s team’s] zealous attempt to create an unrecognized special exception for their client’s benefit.”
The couple has six kids and the battle for their custody has been on ever since they parted ways.
