A native of Punjab, he started his career as radio jockey and then on participated in MTV’s popular action show, Roadies and won the second season of the show. After that he went on to become a VJ with MTV India and hosted many reality shows on television. Ayushmann was also the part of the anchoring team of the Extra Innings T20 for Indian Premier League Season 3. He made his Bollywood debut with the film Vicky Donor and won critical acclaim for his role. After this he worked in many films, namely, Nautanki Saala, Bewakoofiyaan, Hawaizaada and Dum Laga Ke Haisha. He has also sung for two of his films. Married with his childhood friend Tahira, together they have a son and a daughter.
