Popularly known as "serial kisser" in Bollywood he was born on 27th March 1979 in Mumbai and studied at Sydenham College, Mumbai and University of Mumbai.He made his debut into Bollywood with Vikram Bhatt's thriller Footpath. He rose to fame with Anurag Basu's erotic thriller Murder with Mallika Sherawat and Ashmit Patel. Before making his debut into Bollywood Haashmi also worked as an assistant director with his Uncle Mahesh Bhatt on Raaz and then shifted to acting. He is most popularly known for his films Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai , The Dirty Picture, Shanghai,Ek Thi Daayan, Zeher,Gangster, Awarapan,Jannat,Crook,etc.He garnered critical acclaim, awards and nominations for the above fims. He aslo delivered many flops like Aashiq Banaya Apne, Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Jawani Diwani, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Aksar, The Killer, Good Boy Bad Boy,Tum Mile, Rush,Ghanchakkar etc.
