Star Plus is a Hindi language general entertainment television channel launched on 21 February 1992 (as Star TV) and 17 April 1996 (as Star Plus). Uday Shankar is its CEO. Star Plus channel is part of 21st Century Fox's STAR India network and Uday Shankar is the CEO. The shows include a mix of family dramas, comedies, reality shows, shows on crime and telefilms. Its sister concerns are STAR World, STAR Gold, STAR Movies, STAR Utsav, STAR Jalsha, STAR Pravah, STAR Vijay, Suvarna TV, STAR Cricket, STAR Sports, Life OK, Movies OK, Channel [v], Asianet, Fox Movies Premium, Fox Traveller, Fox Sports, STAR Sports 2, Jalsha Movies.
