MUMBAI: Be it glamorous, rustic, or realistic, all today’s audience wants is a new story, says actress Akanksha Puri. The actress, who is part of the web series Dons and darlings, produced by ALTT, says that the show delivers exactly that.
“Today’s audience is only drawn towards a good story. In the series, I play the role is of Naaz, who is the daughter of a big Don and married to a Don . In real life, I am the daughter of an Assistant Police commissioner so definitely I can't relate to this. This character is very different from me and I was lucky as an artist to play so many shades in one show,” she says.
She adds, “She is a daughter, a wife, a lover , someone who comes from the biggest and most powerful family and still all she is looking for is love and I am sure there are a lot of things one can relate to from my character. I am playing the primary character and the story revolves around me !! Right from the look to the character there everything that sets this character apart from other characters.”
Talking about her chemistry with the other actors on the show, she says, “My chemistry with all the actors was amazing and we were well prepared. It became very easy to shoot. I didn't know anyone personally on this set and did not work with any of them before.”
Working with ALTT is great, she says, “This is my second project with ALTT after Honey Trap Squad and it's always a pleasure working with them. ALTT is crystal clear when it comes to the story or creative part. They are well prepared before they go on floor about everything which makes things very easy and quick on the sets. I would love to work with them again.”
