Amruta Subhash opens up about taking psychotherapy, “I think I have reached a very good space with myself” – Exclusive

MUMBAI: Amruta Subhash is one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry. The actress this year gave fantastic performances in Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt. Ltd and Wonder Women.

TellyChakkar recently did a round table interview with Gulshan Devaiah, Aahana Kumra, Amruta Subhash, Amol Parashar, and Naveen Kasturia, and during the interaction, Amruta opened up about mental health.

While talking about how she would sum up the year 2022, the actress told us, “We only keep talking about our careers and what we did outwards. But, it’s a good perspective to talk about other things. I have been taking psychotherapy for the last few years; I think I have reached a very good space with myself and that is improving year by year, and it’s an ongoing process. Every year that’s my most accomplished treasure to improve my relationship with myself through therapy. That will continue and that is happening.”

Further talking about how 2022 was for her professionally, Amruta said, “As far as career is concerned, I have been a big TVF fan and I love their content. I wanted to do something with them, and I didn’t know what, and then this wonderful opportunity with Zee5 came up, and Suman in Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt. Ltd happened. Every role adds something to you and Suman gave me this wonderful opportunity to self-connect because she goes beyond her relationship as well. For a traditional woman, who is illiterate, you have to have a man in your life; that’s there in many places. But, in the end, she happily, without any bitterness, throws the mangalsutra in the water, and that taught me also that you can be self-dependent in every sense. I knew how to achieve, but this role and this year have taught me how to let go, which is wonderful I think.”

Not many actors would like to be open about their mental health and talk about taking therapy. But, it’s good to see that Amruta spoke about it without any hesitation.
