MUMBAI: Kannada film ‘Law’ is going to hit digital theaters soon, joining the host of movies that have already got a direct OTT release such as ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ and ‘Penguin’.
The movie produced by Ashwini and Puneeth Raj Kumar features Ragini Chandran, a model-turned-actor as the lead and Mukyamanthri Chandra as the judge. It is directed by Raghu Samath who had previously made ‘Smile Please’.
The film is expected to release on June 26th on Amazon Prime exclusively.
The movie is a crime thriller that is based around a law graduate played by Ragini Chandran for whom it is a debut in a full-fledged women-centric film.

Meanwhile another film under the same banner, ‘French Biryani’ is slated for a July release on Amazon Prime as well.
The increasing release of regional movies on direct OTT platforms has given them a wider reach but has failed to impress the audiences until now as the films have received mixed reactions despite having a good star cast.
Let’s hope this one lives up to its expectations and garners a positive response.
